“She was a training queen. She ate clearly, she ate organic food. She was the embodiment of health other than [having energy drinks]. “

Barrano, 63, claimed her daughter had no health issues other than really bad anxiety.

“She had a terrible anxiety and went to some doctors,” she said. “I don’t think it was real anxiety. I think it was her abuse of caffeine and energy drinks.”

They called it an ambulance – but it was too late.

“It was oxygen -free for a long time and it caused brain damage,” Barrano said. “They worked for her for three hours, and she never woke up.”

After 10 days in a coma caused by medicine, her seizures deteriorated.

Her family had to make a heart -threatening decision to remove her from her support.

While moderate caffeine intake can improve readiness and physical performance, it can also increase blood pressure, beating the heart’s heart and worsening anxiety – none of which is good for heartfelt.

While they are rare, others have died of caffeine overdose.

“For most adults, up to 400 mg caffeine a day is considered safe,” Nichola Ludlam-Rine told the post.

For reference, this translates to:

  • Four small cups of brown produced
  • Five to six shots of espresso (about 65-80 mg each)
  • Two to four largest cafe -style drinks

Most energy drinks in the US contain 100 to 300 mg caffeine – though some brands are more proud.

Barranon said her daughter “was drinking a lot of coffee” and “would buy a pack of four packages [of drinks] Every two to three days. “

Now, anxious mother is sounding the alarm in the hope that other families can avoid a similar tragedy.

“If you don’t keep your kids away from these things, you can be in my situation where your life is destroyed. It is so harmful and deadly, my whole family is affected by this,” Barranon said.

“I beg people to advise your children and watch what they are doing, I thought I was. I tell everyone I see with energy drinks that this is what it can do in igniting an eye.”
